Hello, it has been awhile, and I am here to apologize for the lack of posts on the blog lately. Work has exploded around here and I have been going non-stop to try and stay on top of things. I thought I should at least try to sneak in a post to update you a little.
A lot has been going on so I will try to touch on a few key things for you. Bookings for 2007 weddings continue to flow in and I am just about booked full for the year except for a few dates here and there. I do have some availability left though so please don’t give up with out trying first.
Make a Wish is sending my son Gabriel and the family to Disney for a week. Everyone is really excited and looking forward to a magical experience.
Three of my images have been selected as semifinalists in the “Best of Weddings” contest which means that they will be on display at the WPPI convention in Las Vegas.
Macy’s NYC has contacted me to be the exclusive wedding photographer at a special bridal event they are putting together in April. I don’t usually do Bridal Shows but this seemed like an opportunity that was too good to pass up on.
My work was featured on the television show Bridge Street when Michael Erb from CNY Weddings was interviewed about some of the wonderful locations in the area to get married at. Here is a link to the segment.
I have been shooting a lot for the Cornell Law School (my image will be on the new cover of their magazine) and will be doing a major fashion shoot for the design students at Cornell in April. There are a couple of engagement shoots to do, and a few people have requested albums that weren’t part of their original contracts. So, with that, taxes, and hopefully a face lift for the web site, I should be busy right into the wedding season. Just hope I can finish everything before it starts up again.
I feel blessed that the business has taken off like it has and thank everyone for the faith, patience, and support I have received. It looks like I will need to hire some one to help a lot sooner than I anticipated. I am moving out of my studio though because most of my bookings have been happening online and it isn’t worth the 45 minute drive (one way), or expense to keep it any longer.
Oh and we got a puppy, a goldendoodle. I just couldn’t say no to Heather, Bella, and Gabriel.
So, it has been a crazy fun ride and I am really excited about the weddings I have scheduled, and couples I will be working with so look forward to a lot of great images this year.
The images that were selected as finalists, one from the TV show at The Fontainebleau Inn, the law cover, and another recent portrait are at the top of the post. Spring is just around the corner…Yea!
