I was going to run this post together with the last one because they were back to back, and at the same but I felt that they deserved to be on their own.
Courtney and Eddie booked awhile back and both of them were really excited about doing an engagement session. Courtney didn’t know I did this type of photography until we met, and suggested that I have samples on my web site too so more people could see them. Thanks again Courtney for the suggestion, it is definitely something I plan to add to the web site when I get ready to re-do it in a month or so.
So needless to say, when someone expresses excitement about working together, it gets me even more excited. So I think I was looking forward to this as much as they were. We spent a good amount of time together and Bob even hooked up with us for dinner, and the last part in Times Square. We really had a lot of fun and got some great photos. I was exhausted after doing two sessions back to back, and from all the Expo stuff but it was well worth the effort.
There are many reasons I push for the engagement photos when a couple books with me. They get familiar with Pictage (my online server,) start to build an email base for the wedding, their families get to see more of my work and get to know me a little before the wedding, and I get to see how they are in front of the camera, as well as them getting to see how I work. But hands down the biggest advantage to doing them is it allows us a chance to get to know each other. That alone is priceless and makes capturing the type of images I create at their wedding so much easier.
Well I am way backed up with work and off to Florida tomorrow so I have tons of stuff to take care of. I just wanted to get these up before I left. Things should slow down (at least a little) so I should be able to catch up on posting your engagement shoots at Pictage and getting contracts out. Thank you to all of my new clients for having patience with me through these crazy times. I know we said we snuck the engagement shoots into an already full schedule, and I knew it would take some time to deliver the end product, but thanks again for your understanding.
Thanks again Courtney, Eddie, Allie, Jake, and Bob for a rockin time in the city!
Frank,
Hola from Chile! Thanks so much for the link to your blog. The more I see the more excited I am to work together!

These pictures are exactly what we were looking for in an engagement shoot - they really bring out our true emotion and feelings. I love the way you integrated the NY atmosphere into our personna. Can't wait for the wedding picturs!
