I photographed a young baby awhile back for a friend, and finally had the chance to work on some of the images. I love to photograph children (especially my own) because it is always very rewarding. With babies it can be tough because timing is essential. I always ask the parents what the baby’s favorite time of day is and then work around that. It has to be timed after the nap that follows a meal and before the next meal. Everything being perfect, still only allows you the smallest window of opportunity. I learned a long time ago that I have no say what-so-ever in the process. I am just along for the ride and the child rules. When they are done, it is over. There are no re-do’s and no starting over. You get what they are willing to give and that is it.
Having your own children is a lot of work and changes your whole life. If I had known it was going to be like this I would have done it fifteen or twenty years ago. My love for Bella and Gabriel can’t be measured. I would strongly recommend that everyone become a parent, sooner than later.
Last night Bella woke up and came into my office to get me. So I held her awhile and then tucked her back in. She usually won’t let me leave until she falls asleep, but that is o.k. because it is one of my favorite times of the day. So half asleep she turned to me and said “Daddy, my whole heart loves you so much”.
Wow, there is nothing better in life! Talk about leaving you with a good feeling.

Wow Frank! That's a story. I know it's impossible to have favorites, but little girls are awesome, aren't they? :-)
